On Wednesday 9th November at 13:15, St. Mary’s Cathedral will welcome distinguished singer Robert Crowe for the last lunchtime concert of the season. Robert Crowe will be accompanied on the piano by Simon Harden, one of Ireland’s leading organists.
This lunchtime concert explores the fascinating world of the male castrato repertoire, through the ornamentational art of Giovanni Battista Velluti.
Robert Crowe has around 25 years performing experience, including singing at all the renowned Handel festivals in Germany. He is currently researching for a PhD in historical musicology at Boston University.
In addition to being a sought after performer in this country and abroad, Simon Harden is on the lecturing staff of Dublin’s DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama.
